In 2013, the American Medical Association recognized obesity as a disease requiring a range of medical interventions. (AMA, 2013) Furthermore, research has shown that frequent monitoring through physician lead interventions is an effective way to lose weight and keep it off over time. (Jensen et al, 2013)  ProMed Healthcare refers patients to our ProMed Wellness Program and offers a physician supervised, individualized approach to weight management through lifestyle changes involving eating habits, activity management, counseling and education.

Emily, our nutritionist and dietitian is also a certified health coach. Through her, we offer corporate wellness programs, lectures on nutrition and health and diabetic nutrition counseling. She also directs the nutrition counseling for weight management.

Weight Management will be offered at all three of our locations.

Patients will be seen by appointment only.

Insurance will be accepted for primary care patients.  Those patients with closed-network insurance plans will have to pay the out of pocket fees.
